This holiday house is designed to follow the contour of a cliff-side on the Mornington Peninsula overlooking the local marina in the East and the city of Melbourne in the West. The broad eaves of the low-pitch metal-deck roof, sheltering the wide veranda, provide shade and protection from elements for extended outdoor use. The open plan layout of the living area offers an uninterrupted view of the bay, further enhanced by the fully retractable, computer-operated HEWI frameless window assembly. The floor throughout most of the house consist of broad smoked planks, which continue onto the veranda integrating indoor- and outdoor areas seamlessly.
